My monitor went on power saving mode :((

hey guys. i need your help. i just bought my brand new CPU, and then i plug it to my old monitor, LG flatron L1553s. when i turn it on, after a few seconds, my monitor went on a , black screen and then on power saving mode, but when i plug my monitor to my laptop it works fine. can anyone tell me why does this occur :((

"power saving mode" is activated when the monitor does NOT detect an incoming signal. That would indicate a problem with your new computer. I would check the video card to see if it's working OK.
