I have a HP probook 4540s with windows 7 pro and this happened completely out of the blue. I have no problem getting a connection to the internet but I can't browse with any browser or even use skype. So far I have tried uninstalling mcafee, doing various cmd prompts, and toggling the dns accessibility please help

Hello,

Try this 1

1) Click on Start --> In search bar, type cmd. Run --> Type cmd .

When the command prompt option appears in the search list, right-click on it

and select the option "Run as administrator". "Command Prompt" will be opened.

Now enter the below command.

netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt

Press "Enter".

2) If the problem still exists then open the command prompt and type

ping www.google.com --> Press Enter.

Are you getting the reply messages ?

Good Luck
