My laptop is stuck on start page with f2 f12 at the bottom!! I have taken out the battery and let it die no matter what I do it stays frozen on Toshiba screen!! Has a lot of my sons files need help please!!

It's possible the the hard drive has failed. A good local repair shop should be able to help you. Your son's files are probably lost.
