I AM USING WINDOW XP SP3 AFTER INSTALLING I HAVE INTERNET CONNECTION NO ICON ON TASK BAR EVEN WHEN I CONNECT MY MOBILE IT ALSO DONT SHOW ANY ICON WHICH RELATED TO MOBILE

Click Start > Control Panel > Show classic view > Network Connections

right click on your network connection and go to properties

click on "show icon in task bar" or something along those lines.
