I have a Gateway Labtop NV55S02u would like to restore to factory setting has a lot of spyware and it's very slow. Please help

Rather than restoring to factory settings and loosing all of your data, perhaps reinstalling programmes and drivers, would you prefer disinfecting your computer ?
