It wont stay on long enough to load the discs

I can not get my laptop to stay on long enough to use recovery discs. It starts up goes long enough to get into the program and then just turns off. I have a satellite L655 and a friend borrowed it and who knows what happened but got it back with no OS, so had to order the recovery discs.

Hi Ibery2450,

Try checking the memory for errors. The program could be trying to access a bad bit of memory after it loads up.
