Hello,
What I have is a question more than a problem, I have comcast cable tv and comcast internet at my main home,
I have a vacation home at the beach where I have camcast cable only, internet is available at additional cost.
My question is can I take my internet modem that is supplied by comcast and transport it to my vacation home and plug it up to the cable outlet and get internet at the vacation home. I would still be using my main comcast
e-mail address and their system should still recoginize me as being part of their system.
I of course would not have internet at my main location as long as the modem is at the beach.

What do you think is it possible that this would work ?????

Comcast would probably say NO to the idea. It might work until they do a periodic security scan and find your modem's ID is not in their local database. Then they will deactivate the modem and it will not work at either location. Why not call them and ask if you can do it? Good Luck
