I have an Ipod 4th generation and I charge it and it turns on then it turns off again. WHAT DO I DO!!??

I have an iPod touch 5, so its pretty much the same. Put it in charge for about an hour, then keep hold of the home button and power button for 10-15 seconds. Hope this helps.
