My gateway 2000 laptop

Hello,
i have a gateway 2000 laptop, i unplugged power,took battery out,held start button down for 30 nseconds,plugged power back up,turned it on,placed battery back in,and it booted up, as it was checking file system it shut back off.

hi,
it seems that you have a problem with your hard disk.
try to get it replaced to see if the problem continues.
