Help with my internet browers

Hello,
I am connected to the internet but my internet explorer and my firefox wont work. This problem started about a week ago and I dont know what to do. On firefox it keeps saying the proxy is refusing connection. I download songs off of bitorrent and I dont know if that is what caused the problem. WHAT SHOULD I DO? OHH and the only page that it will let me access is my g-mail.

hi,
try to clear cookies by going in the internet options and then try again.
or you may do a system restore to set your computer to a earlier settings.
