Sony Walkman won't work with Windows 10

Hello, My Sony Walkman NWZ-E385 will NOT work with Windows 10 or any other media software on my computer. I went to Google and wasted hours trying ALL the solutions = zero. Windows 10 and all of its programming absolutely refused to recognize my Walkman in any manner whatsoever. Media Go would only show titles and attempts to play a song = error msg: not supported. WHAT TO DO?

I found the solution and it's nutty! You have to use the ORIGINAL CORD that came with your Walkman!!!! The second I plugged that in - the Windows 10 system and everything on it suddenly recognized my Sony Walkman! Just how wacky is that??? Whatever - it worked for me.
