Cannot change my name

Hello,

I am trying to change my name but I keep getting this message:

You cannot change your name because you changed it 2 times in the last 14 days. You can delete your name.

Now I have not changed my name in the last 14 days, so I do not get it. The message does not go away and I cannot change it. It is for my company, we already have a decent amount of followers so I do not want to start over.

Can someone help me? Much appreciated.

Hi Jimmy,

If you're using a personal account for your company, it is better to convert your Instagram profile to a business profile. To do so, download the Instagram mobile app and log in to your account. Next, go to Settings > Account > Switch to Business Profile.

Thank you for answering my post.

Unfortunately it already is a business account. Now when I try to change it on my phone it just does nothing. It blinks and nothing happens...

Any thoughts?

Log out of all devices on which your Instagram account is logged in. Clear your browser's cache and cookies from one of your devices, then log back into Instagram using that same device. Now try to change your account name.

If the problem persists, try reporting it to Instagram using the mobile app. Tap the Menu and go to Settings > Help > Report a problem. Explain the problem you're facing in detail and you can also add a screenshot of the error message.
