Dektop do not load fully

Hello,
Last day I switched off my system normally.today as i started in the morning I can't log on to my system as it goes up till user name n password and then i click ok it do not display my desktop.It loads desktop ,loads desktop background but no icon displayed acctually system stuck's there even alt,ctrl,del is also disabled , i cant log in please help me.

boot up your system, hit f8
select last known good configuration.
