Problem in Internet in Inspiron-1525

Hello,
My Problem is That I'm not able to connect to internet through Wi-Fi. Actually I stay in Hostel and their is wi-fi network in our hostel i have filled up the IP and DNS correctly But my PC is Connected to Router not the Internet Please give my some suggestions I'm using widows vista home basic

Maybe you need a username and password to use the internet have you discussed it with the people who work at the hostel
