all my programs have changed to internet exsplorer Closed

Hi 
Can any one help me please 
i was installing ableton live torrent after reinstalling windows 7 i went to open the patch and accidentally clicked open with internet explorer literally everything on my computer has changed to that logo i cant open anything or i cant even do a system restore i am currently on a guest account at the minute any time i log on to my user account all these IE windows keep popping up telling me windows has stopped working and i have to exit out of countless windows i can not do anything on my computer i am a novice when it comes to all this kind of stuff i have goggled the problem however any recommendations make absolutely no sense to me what so ever however i am not that thick as to install reg pro can anybody offer me a step by step guide of how to fix this problem without talking in computer language cause i really have no idea i know most of you computer people will think i am an idiot but i really need basics here as i am really lost

thanks for the reply however this does not work as i am logged on to a guest account when i log to my main admin account it opens the regedt32 window as an internet explorer window as stated before i cant literally open anything every single file or program on my laptop has been changed to this no matter what i do  do you have any other suggestions?

This seems to be a file association issue.

I trust you have access to Internet.

If you don't have access to Internet your can use another computer to put it on a pen drive.

well it didnt seem to actually do anything i ran it and it opened a word pad text which was in french so i have no idea what it said lol but nothing changed
