Lenovo G580 laptop wont switch on

Hi ,

iam using lenovo g580 laptop.its around 2 years old.

i have a problem in laptop.from the couple of days it is unable to swithch on .

when I switch on the laptop.first a small light beside webcam it glows and also it shows charging indicator light .

Apart from that nothing will display and the screen is black.i tried to take out the battery and again inserted the battery and tried .but still not working.


one more thing usally when I un plug my charger from laptop I dont get any sounds.but now when I had these turn on issue,if I unplug the charger I hear a beep sound .


please assist .

Hello gundavarapu ,

When you plug the charger into the jack, can you see the light blinking or just everything remains calm and nothing can be heard from the fan or the hard drive?
If you can't and the warranty of your laptop has expired I suggest you to take out the hard drive and try to connect it to another computer through SATA-USB cable. If the HDD doesn't spin at all, anywhere, then it has failed mechanically and needs replacement.
If your hard drive spins up on a different computer and it is recognized there, but cannot power up on your laptop, then the problem is hiding probably in the power supply unit on your motherboard. You could bring your laptop to a technician to make a test of the power connector and/or the power jack center because they might have got damaged.
You can also write to the official Lenovo Support to see what will they tell you as a suggestion.

Check signal cable

Hi,

I today changed my HP tower power supply unit. It now all works ok and boots up (familiar Windows Chime plus caps on off shows light) but the Samsung screen has a message, "check signal cable". Whether connected to PC or not!

So, it appears, the monitor isn't connected. But, it is connected!

How to solve this?

Hello,
every single time I turn it on it says power saving and go to sleep it was just working until I moved it to a different spot in my room everything else is working but the monitor keeps saying power saving mode it won't show my desktop or anything I checked the cords and I'm pretty sure they aren't loose help me please

i turned on my lenove g50-70 laptop after a day,and it just show the screen on which please wait is written with a buffering symbol beside it. I have windows 8.1 installed on my system. I tried to fix it by taking out the battery and pressing the power button for some time. but it didnt work. please help me

keyboard keys not responding

Hello,
keyboard keys (shift windows alt z x c v m , . / 5 mathematical) key and spacebar stops responding.... suggest me what to do?
