Help - ctrl keys are malfuncitioning

Hello,

I have a Lenovo yoga ultrabook. For some reason, the last few times I've used it, it thinks I'm holding the ctrl keys down. This is wreaking havoc. Every time I click somewhere in word document, text is selected and I can't de-select it. Sometimes other actions like opening up a secondary window is launched because the function uses the ctrl key. The keys are not stuck. They move up and down normally when I press them. How do I stop this please?
