BlizzCon 2023: online, Overwatch World Cup, Warcraft Rumble

Since the release of Warcraft: Orcs & Human in 1994, Blizzard Entertainment has had its legendary moments and dramatic crises, and despite some criticism of recent releases, it remains a studio whose games reach more than 25 million monthly active users. Today World of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Overwatch and other Blizzard games are played  all over the world through the Blizzard Battle.net online service. Recently the studio released the multiplayer online battle arena Heroes of the Storm, a remaster of the original StarCraft and its expansion Brood War, StarCraft: Remastered, the sequel to Overwatch, Overwatch 2; the ninth expansion for World of Warcraft, Dragonflight, the sequel to Diablo III, Diablo IV and the online card game Hearthstone. Since August of this year, the studio began placing its games on Steam, starting with Overwatch 2.

To introduce new games and expand the fan base of its universe, every year Blizzard holds the Blizzcon convention in Anaheim, California, where its headquarters are located. At this massive event, the studio announces upcoming content, features playable demos of various Blizzard games, hosts costume contests and Q&A sessions, as well as live music concerts and other shows.

When is BlizzCon in 2023?

BlizzCon will return to Anaheim Convention Center on November 3 and 4, 2023. The conference space will be divided into several zones dedicated to Blizzard games: World of Warcraft, Overwatch 2, Diablo, WarCraft Rumble zones. The Opening Ceremony, Community Night and panel discussions will take place in the Blizzcon Arena, and another hall will be entirely dedicated to the Overwatch World Cup 2023 Finals.

How to watch BlizzCon 2023 online?

BlizzCon is one of those gaming conventions that streams most of its programming online, and for free. You can watch all the main stage content live on the official convention YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as recorded afterwards. Streaming will be carried out with subtitles in Spanish, German, French, Chinese and Korean.

Warcraft Rumble release at BlizzCon 2023

The main event on November 3rd live at BlizzCon will be the release of the new mobile strategy action game Warcraft Rumble for Android and iOS. "Warcraft Rumble is a joyful (and mobile!) embodiment of Azeroth's greatest hits, lovingly crafted by a team with deep roots in the Warcraft universe," said Vic Saraf, executive producer of Warcraft Rumble. In it you will be able to conduct strategic campaigns and battles in single and several multiplayer modes, leading armies consisting of heroes from throughout Warcraft history. All players who pre-register and complete training within two weeks of launch will receive in-game reward packs.

Overwatch World Cup at BlizzCon 2023

You will be able to watch online not only the events of the convention, but also the main moments of the finals of the international tournament for the game Overwatch, Overwatch World Cup 2023 (OWWC), which will take place as part of the convention! This esports tournament has been held annually by Blizzard Entertainment since 2016. There was a three-year break due to the Coronavirus pandemic and OWWC returned this year. The final of the tournament was preceded by a series of preliminary stages in which 40 national teams participated. The next group stage, which will take place from October 29 to November, includes 15 online qualifiers and a team from China. Of these, the best 8 teams will reach the finals and compete for the title of Overwatch world champion.

If you want to come to Anaheim and witness all the events, then you can buy tickets on the AXS platform. In accordance with Blizzard's age policy, children under 7 years of age are not permitted to enter the convention, and persons under 17 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
