I have had a Yahoo account and Yahoo email for close to 20 years. Yesterday, I contacted what I thought was technical support to help me set up Outlook 365 to see my Yahoo mail. He turned out to be a hacker. I was very suspicious so as soon as he finished, I changed my Yahoo password. Today, it seems I can see my email in Outlook, but when I try to login to Yahoo on the web, it says invalid password. I've tried both the new one and the old one. My recovery email addresses were outdated and I hadn't put my telephone number on my account yet. Now I want to login on the web so I can change things in my Yahoo account, but I can't. Is there any way I can get back into my account and change passwords, emails, phone numbers?
I'm not sure I can trust getting it in the email, so texting to my phone is preferred.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully I can help you. Have a look in this article produced by CCM giving you all of the possible solutions on how to recover a potentially hacked yahoo account.
Unfortunately, the article is exhaustive, containing all the known solutions, so if its not there, there's little to be done I'm afraid...
A final option would be to contact yahoo support directly.
All the best, let me know how it goes!
