I reinstalled Windows XP SP2 and now I can't get back online. My router and modem are fully functional and connected. I tried to "repair" my connection but it says "Windows could not finish repairing the problem because the following action cannot be completed: Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the connection. Cannot proceed." Any thoughts on how I can resolve this problem would greatly be appreciated.

Hello,
Try this 1
Reinstall your drivers. You can download the drivers from the manufacture's
website. Also make sure that your onboard Lan is not disabled in the BIOS.
Good Luck

Make sure that all cables are connected
Restart your modem, and then restart your router. Remove the power cable from the modem and router. if still the problem persist Reinstall the driver....and follow the same procedure
