Help with internet

Hello,
I can't seem to get on the internet. I have tried several things but nothing is working. It just displays Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. I have tried the diagnose connection problems and it says nothing is wrong. I have tried going into favorites and tried the refreash but no luck. So I tried plugging the internet into my sons laptop and the internet worked on his. Please help!!

in the firt time you clear your browse history.
you can use the excellent and free, ccleaner.

have you tried an other browser? firefox for example.
