I have been using my laptop for about 12 months with no probs, but when I tried to turn it in this morning it wouldnt power up and I just have a black screen. Ive taken the battery out and tried to power up after holding down the on switch but it still doesnt work!!! The red light comes on the front when I plug into the mains but when I go to press the power button it changes to 2 white lights and does nothing. Please help!!

Joanne,

Not only complain, demand a replacement.

Hi Joanne,

Another Toshiba problem!

If you have taken out the cable, removed the battery and presses and held the power button for 58 seconds which would remove "flea power" with no results...

Try starting in safe mode by tapping F8 while starting.

If the above does not work, you have a huge problem which only a technician can look after.

Since your Toshiba is only 12 months old, do not delay complaining to Toshiba and don't take "The warranty is over" for an answer. A good laptop should last a minimum 5 years.

Good luck
