Windows 10 not installing, Starts over after restart. Closed

Question

Hi,
I have 2 hard drives: one of 1TB and the second one is 2TB.


I usually install Windows 10 on the 1TB, but now I am want to change it.


I want to install Windows 10 on the 2TB Hard drive, But I got a problem.

The installation goes fine, until it gets to the point where it needs to restart the computer.

When it restarts the computer, it starts the installation again and nothing installed.

I try to install from USB, the installation works Great with the 1TB, Same USB.

I don't know what to do and why it is happen... It is happen only in the 2TB Hard drive.
How to fix this problem?

Hi there,

Windows can support hard drives up to 2TB when it's using Master Boot Record.

Maybe the actual size of your drive is a little over.

I would convert your hard drive to use General Partition Table rather than MBR.

To do this I would boot to the installation disk and then go to "Repair".

Open command prompt and type DISKPART press enter.
then type list disk
Once you've found the 2TB disk type select disk X (x = number)
then type clean
and then convert gpt

Then try the installation again.

hey..try this out it will help...insert your flash drive format it using command prompt as administrator and name it any name less than 10 words..how to format using cmd:
insert flash,note the drive letter it is click on the drive letter for example if its d type d: and press enter
type format d after the colon e.g d:format d:enter then press y and enter 
once this is done try making the iso into the flash one more time and try it out and if all this fails you might wanna try formatting using a different flash or maybe a cd
