Have you tried another monitor to see if you get a signal?

Can you hear the fan and the hard disk spinning?

Thank you
Really I meant connecting to another monitor. Connecting to a laptop is a whole different ball game and it won't work. Please do try another real monitor not a laptop.

If you don't have another monitor, I cannot troubleshoot with you further. I could be your cables. It could be your motherboard. It could be your video card. If you get a signal on another monitor, you will know that it's the monitor.

Good luck
