Hello,

I have an HP Pavilion Notebook (HDX9000) running Vista Home Premium (32bit), and I am trying to connect an external LCD monitor via HDMI. I have been unable to get my display to show up on this monitor even after updating graphics drivers and updating the BIOS. Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing this problem? Thx!

After connecting the external monitor, have you used the Function (FN) key + F4 (For HP i think) to cycle the displays from the laptop to the external monitor?

Use the Function (FN) key + F4 If memory serves for HP laptops (if it is not the F4 button, look on your keyboard keys for the one with a small square that looks like a monitor that has the same face color as the FN key) to cycle the internal / external monitors. Cycle should be Internal Display only, Internal Display and External Display, External Display only.
