Acer Some keys on my laptop keyboard are sticky

Some keys on my laptop keyboard are sticky and I have to press twice, or harder, to get the character on screen.
Any hints anyone?

Hold the key down, and turn off sticky keys!

Tried it and it did not fix problem. Perhaps I used the wrong term in my original query. The three letters I am complaining about just do not register when I type normally. I sometimes have to keep my finger on the letter in order for it to register (then it repeats, depending upon how long I press, meaning I have to delete surplus letters!)
Perhaps there is different solution?
