Office 2013 - Compatible OS and requirements

Office 2013, the new version of Microsoft Office suite that will power future devices running under Windows 8, will not be compatible with XP and Vista. A logical development given the willingness of Microsoft to end the use of these aging OS.

The successor of Office 2010 is only compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8, and server versions of Windows 2008 R2 and 2012.

Hardware requirements:
  • Processor running at 1 GHz minimum,
  • 1 to 2 GB of RAM (depending on architecture, 32 or 64 bits),
  • 3 GB of disk space
  • DirectX 10 compatible graphics card
