Office 2013 system requirements
Office 2013 is an older version of the Microsoft Office suite. These were the necessary hardware requirements to use it. Note that this is no longer the latest version of Microsoft Office - you can now use Microsoft Office 365.
System requirements for Office 2013
If you are still using Office 2013, then here the requirements for your PC:
- Operating system: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2012
- Processor: 1 GHz minimum
- Memory: 1 to 2 GB of RAM (depending on the architecture, 32 or 64 bits respectively)
- Storage: 3 GB of disk space
- Graphics: DirectX 10 compatible graphics card
Upgrade to Microsoft Office 365 and Requirements
Microsoft has discontinued support and security updates for Office 2013, and your device may be exposed to security risks. Therefore, Microsoft suggests updating to Microsoft Office 365. You can find upgrade options on the upgrade page.
Here are the Office 365 minimal requirements:
Operating system: Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server 2016/2019 (until October 2025), Windows Server 2022 (until October 2026).
Processor: 1.6 GHz or faster
Memory: 4 GB RAM; 2 GB RAM (32-bit)
Storage: 3 GB of disk space
Graphics: DirectX 9 or later, with WDDM 2.0 or higher for Windows 10 (or WDDM 1.3 or higher for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update).
