Granny 3 is an indie survival horror video game developed and published by DVloper where you play an adventurer who is imprisoned in a mansion by a couple of crazy elders. You don't know who they are, but you will have to manage to find a way to escape in 5 nights; otherwise, your fate might be pretty dark.

Plot

As an explorer looking for new adventures, you find a mysterious, seemingly abandoned mansion as the night comes. Without hesitation, you find the courage to open the unlocked gate and enter. The thing is, you did not know the mansion is inhabited by an infamous couple and other creatures who will try to keep you locked down.

Gameplay

• New place: This time, you will play in an old creepy mansion with a high wall and a moat all around it. Yes, your journey to escape this place is going to be more difficult.
• Slendrina: Slendrina from the House of Slendrina title will also be part of the antagonists and truly adds another layer of complexity. Indeed, she moves really fast, so look away as fast as you can from her gaze trap.
• Granny and Grandpa: Grandpa doesn't hear very well and will not be alerted by most sounds, but he is armed with a bloody baseball bat, so you should run if you don't want to be hit hard. On the other hand, Granny is very dangerous and unpredictable as she has very good hearing, and she is very fast when she decides to hunt you down.
• Be stealthy: You must pay attention to detail to avoid making noise when walking around the mansion. Oh, and don't forget to watch out for the bear traps.
• Use your environment: You can hide from your enemies by hiding in wardrobes or under beds. Also, you can protect yourself using different traps or objects.
• Escape: You have 5 nights to escape this horrible place. Every time one of your antagonists beats you up, you fall unconscious, and a new day will start. If you're caught on the fifth night, you may not survive. Again, you will have to inch your way and find how to escape from here, but, above all, do not jump into the moat.
• Controls: The third title of the series comes with a new crouch button and item interaction option. You can control and move your character throughout the game using the directional pad and interact with almost anything in the house.

Graphics and sound

The game offers simple graphics and sound similar to the previous titles. However, they prove to be more than enough to create a creepy atmosphere and a strange experience.

Duration and game modes

Granny 3 features a solo game mode that can last 2 hours on average if you focus on the main story and about 3 hours if you explore everything it features. In addition, you can choose among five levels of difficulty, including Practice, Easy, Normal, Hard, and Extreme.

The practice mode can be a good starting point as it allows you to explore the house without Granny and Grandpa. But remember, the place is not totally free of dangers. Also, you may be able to choose between Grandpa and Granny in lower difficulty levels, but they will both be present in higher ones.
