gamescom 2023: dates, new games, how to watch online
In terms of importance in the world of video games, gamescom can be compared with the World Championship. This convention in the German city of Cologne premieres highly anticipated games and brings together developers, entrepreneurs and gamers from all over the world. The fair is so big that it is not easy to follow its entire program, but we have compiled for you a list of all the most important things you need to know about gamescom 2023.
What is gamescom?
gamescom is the world's largest trade show for the video game industry, held every summer in Cologne, Germany, and showcases new games, showcases and shows from the industry's giants and gaming studios. Hundreds of thousands of visitors and millions of online viewers are witnessing game presentations, live gameplay, demos, discussions with developers and representatives of technology companies. Part of the exhibition will be a theatre with 300 seats, where game studios will demonstrate various showcases and presentations of video games. Plus, there are a lot of entertainment events and concerts. A whole week of the hottest news and releases from the world of games, exchange of experience and fun.
When and where will Gamescom 2023 celebrate?
gamescom 2023 starts on Monday, August 21, 2023 and ends on Sunday, August 27. As already established, the convention will be held in the exhibition center "Koelnmesse" of Cologne. Exhibitors from 60 countries take part in gamescom 2023, which will be a record for the fair. Participants include Amazon Games, AMD, 4A Games, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment, Bethesda Softworks, Crunchyroll, Devolver Digital, Focus Entertainment, Frontier Developments, GIANTS Software, Headup Games, Hoyoverse, The LEGO Group, Level Infinite, Movie Games, Netflix, Nintendo, Pearl Abyss, Samsung, SEGA, Team17, TikTok, Ubisoft, Xbox and other important industry players. This year's fair partner country is Brazil, bringing several dozen Brazilian companies and studios.
What is the Gamescom 2023 schedule?

What games will we see at gamescome 2023?
Almost all the major players in the industry will come to the exhibition, with the exception of PlayStation, which this year has been focused on Asian events. The main premieres will take place as part of the Future Games Show, which will showcase several dozen games (last year there were about 30, including such important premieres as Sonic Frontiers and Hogwarts Legacy). This year promises no less interesting premieres. Bandai Namco will show Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, Sand Land, Tekken 8 and Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm and, attention, the long-awaited Park Beyond and Tekken 8.
Microsoft will have one of the largest stands at the exhibition, with the most diverse content. It's safe to assume that Xbox will bring Indiana Jones, Perfect Dark and some other novelties to the convention. Although we won't see a full game premiere of Starfield (its full release is scheduled for September 6th), a showcase with interesting previews is expected. Perhaps Microsoft's program this year will be affected by a very possible merger with Activision Blizzard, which would of course expand the Xbox offering. Meanwhile, we already know that HoYoverse will bring a lot of content related to their hits Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd and Zenless Zone Zero. Oxide Games will bring an Ara: History Untold showcase, and Turn 10 Studios will make a presentation on Forza Motosport. Independent studio game showcases to take place at Indie Arena Booth. Not all games of this year's show have been announced yet, and we will update this article as the convention develops.
