Poppy Playtime is a first-person horror video game that returns for more fear, challenges, and gameplay mechanics in a second title. So be scared of Mommy Long Legs, as she is coming for you.

Plot

After the events of Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 and freeing Poppy from her case, you explore the back halls of the factory and find the office of Elliot Ludwig (Playtime's founder). After escaping from the office, you encounter Poppy, who decides to help you escape from this place. Unfortunately, the monstrous and cruel Mommy Long Legs will rapidly capture Poppy, letting you alone. You are now forced to go deep down this terrific factory to discover who knows what, or at least to stay alive.

Gameplay

  • New antagonists: This time, you will face Mommy Long Legs as she will hunt you throughout your journey. More monsters and toys are also introduced and scattered across this scary place, like PJ Pug-a-Pillar, Mini Huggies, Bunzo Bunny, or Daisy.
  • New factory: The toy factory has not yet revealed all its places and puzzles. You will experience more challenges and deadly traps.
  • New possibilities: There are new gameplay mechanics introduced, like your ability to electrify your right green glove, carry it with you, and project it on your environment. In addition, your left hand can grapple more accurately and make you fly.

  • Musical Memory: This is the first game of your adventure, where you have to select the correct buttons. It will continuously get faster until a certain point, so memorize the order of the buttons correctly.
  • Wack-a-Wuggy: The second game looks like a Whack-a-Mole game where you must hit the Mini Huggies with your GrabPack as they come out of holes in the walls.
  • Statues: The third game is similar to "Red Light. Green Light" as you explore a maze while being pursued by PJ Pug-a-Pillar.

Graphics and sound

The graphics and audio experience provided by Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 are very good for that kind of game. The first-person perspective and the frightening atmosphere still make the whole game terrifying and thrilling.

Duration and game modes

This second chapter offers a solo adventure that will last way longer than the first title, about 2-3 hours. So this is a very good alternative for those who don't have lots of time.
