Yandere Simulator by YandereDev is a stealth game that is currently under development. In this game, you play a young "Yandere", which is a Japanese word for a girl who is so obsessed with a boy that she could physically hurt any other girl that shows interest in him. So that's right - the main goal of the game is to eliminate other girls that are head over heels for your character's Senpai, without getting caught.

Plot

Ayano Aishi is a young woman who falls in love with another student in a higher grade, but she is not the only woman who is interested in seducing the charming boy. But this is not a problem for Ayano as she is desperately ready to do anything she can to ensure her crush will fall in love with her. Let the hunt begin.

Gameplay

Senpai is yours: Throughout the game, you will have to eliminate 10 different potential rivals that may make your Senpai fall in love with them. But he is yours, and he doesn't have a choice, so you will make sure every one of them will fail, no matter what. Hence, the game mechanics really look like Hitman as the character is in an environment full of NPCs and can employ various stealth mechanics to eliminate a given target. This includes killing the target without witnesses, using social sabotage, or even staging an accident. Beware, if your Senpai sees your crimes, he will never love you, and the game will be over!
Elimination methods: The game lets you choose among many different ways to eliminate your rivals, including homicide, kidnapping, suicide, fake suicide, expulsion, drowning, electrocution, poisoning, framing, gossip, matchmaking, torturing, befriending, betrayal, burning, crushing, rejection, dismemberment, and drive to murder.
Sanity level: You will have to manage your sanity level, as it is an indicator everyone can see to judge you, and it may compromise your chances that your Senpai will fall in love with you. The more violent you are, the lowest it will be. Moreover, keeping a high sanity level will result in fast and efficient killings, and a low one will make you become a real bloodthirsty killer.
Yandere Vision: Using the Yandere Vision can be useful as you can see through walls, detect objects, and see other characters. This way, you can anticipate other characters' movements, elaborate more accurately on your strategies, and get to the next screen.

Communicate: You can interact with the different characters and decide what tone to adopt depending on your strategy.
Info-chan: This is an unknown character who provides you with very useful information about your rivals, items, and scheme walkthroughs in exchange for info points.
Reputation: Just like in high school, getting caught or not will influence your reputation and will determine how you can interact with other characters, their routines, and their behaviors.
School and clubs: There are many places to visit and discover in Yandere Simulator, note that you can use the different places depending on what you want to do with your rivals. The school is composed of several different floors where you will find different rooms, including bathrooms, classrooms, storage rooms, a Counselor's Office, an infirmary, a meeting room, a cafeteria, a library, a biology lab, and much more. There are also many outdoor places, like a greenhouse, a garden, a hedge maze, an incinerator, and many different clubs.
Weapons and objects: You will be able to use many different weapons to kill, kidnap, or dismember your rivals, but you will be pleased to know that a huge catalog of different gadgets is also available, no matter if you want to trap your rivals, hide proofs, or anything else you want to do.
Improve your skills: You can improve your skills by attending classes and joining clubs. You will access better weapons and more items, and other characters will be less likely to suspect you.
Customization: You can choose the main character's accessories and look, as well as modify certain aesthetic aspects such as the hairstyle.

This is a different story with different rivals, with no phones, internet, info-chan, or anything that did not exist in the 1980s. You will have to comply with stricter school rules and will discover some backstories.
LoveSick mode: All the easter eggs are removed, and the game has a much more serious atmosphere.
Endless mode: In this mode, NPCs are randomly generated, and the objective is to achieve the highest score.
Pose mode: You can pose a selected student in many different ways, re-positioning their body parts, and changing their hairstyle.
Custom mode: You can customize your rivals, students, and the school. You will not face more than 10 rivals.
Missions mode: You will be given missions in which you need to kill a specific student. Increasing the difficulty level will result in more objectives that you must complete.
