Although the Apple Watch is one of the best smart watches, users can sometimes encounter problems with it. In the article below we’ll explain some of the most common issues and how to solve them.
Lack of Reaction When Lifting The Wrist
The Apple Watch display is supposed to be activated by quickly raising your wrist, however sometimes your smart watch may not respond.
To fix this, first check that you do not have the Theater Mode option enabled. When it is on, two masks appear at the top of the screen and the Wrist Raise command (quickly raising your hand to activate the display) does not work. Go to the control center and turn off theater mode.
Another possibility is that you have the Wrist Raise option turned off. To confirm this, open the Watch app on your phone, go to My Watch, select the General option, enter Wake Screen and make sure Wrist Raise mode is activated.
If none of these options work for you, you'll need to contact technical support.
Disconnected Watch Screen
If the screen of your smart watch suddenly pops out we recommend that you do not try to force it back in
, as it will require technical intervention and the less you touch it the more confident you can be that Apple's warranty will cover the problem.
Apple has in fact extended its warranty to cover this problem
. Therefore the solution in this case is to contact the technical service as quickly as possible to get it fixed.
Connecting to an iPhone
If you get an error message on your smart watch screen
that is connected to your iPhone, it is probably a result of the devices falling out of sync with each other.
To rectify this, try turning off both devices and turning them back on to see if they recognize each other automatically. Then when you sync them again, the error message should disappear.
If the error message persists, unpair the devices in the iPhone Apple Watch app by selecting Unpair
and then pair them again by following these steps
Some people encounter a situation where having read messages on their iPhone, they still appear as Unread on the Apple Watch
If this is a problem you’re experiencing, try turning off both the watch and your phone and then turning them back on. Doing this will provoke the synchronization between devices and the log of read and unread messages should be updated.
If this does not work, cancel the synchronization of both devices, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and select Unpair. Then synchronize (pair) them again. Here
you’ll find the instructions for pairing an Apple Watch with an iPhone.
Internet or LTE Connection
If your Apple Watch is showing a failure to access the LTE network connected to your phone's mobile data or even wifi networks, we recommend that you update your software version
. To do this go to General > Software Update
This was a recurring problem in older software versions that Apple solved in subsequent updates. Therefore, if you install the latest version of the operating system and reconfigure your internet connection or phone plan connection, it should work.
To update your LTE phone connection go to My Watch > Carrier > Remove > Add a New Plan
If the digital crown of your watch is not working or is stuck, we recommend that you update your software and check the Apple Watch connection
After that, if the problem persists, it is best to clean your watch
by following these instructions
If you have problems with your Apple Watch's Bluetooth connection to your phone, unpair both devices and then re-pair them again.
This also happens when there is a third device using Bluetooth, such as a headset. In this case, it is best to turn off the Bluetooth of one of the devices
to facilitate the connection between the other two. For example, if you want to listen to music from your Apple Watch, synchronize the playlist and pair the headset with the watch but keep the iPhone's Bluetooth option turned off.
