Total War: Warhammer 3 is a turn-based strategy (TBS) and real-time tactics video game. It is the third game set in the Warhammer universe and is a part of the Total War series. Gameplay: As mentioned above, the gameplay of Warhammer 3 is based on TBS mechanics and real-time tactics. Players will be able to choose between fighting against AI factions, customized real-time battles, and online multiplayer battles. Those who have races from the first two games will also have them in this third installment.
Plot: The Realm of Chaos, the cradle of evil magic, is ruled by the four Ruinous Powers: Slaanesh (the lord of excess), Khorne (the god of blood and slaughter), Nurgle (the plague god), and Tzeentch (the changer of ways). But two kingdoms - the civilization of Kislev and the empire of Grand Cathay - are ready to fight and send their armies to confront the dangers in the Realm of Chaos. And it’s up to those armies to determine the destiny of the world.

Factions & Races: There will be a total of six Total War: Warhammer 3 factions. Those are: Kislev, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, and Cathay. Some rumored factions include the Chaos Dwarfs, the Hobgoblins, and the Ogre kingodms.
Map: To make sure you get the most out of the game, Warhammer 3 promises a bigger map, with a campaign map "twice the size" of the Eye of the Vortex campaign map (Warhammer 2), according to Ian Roxburgh (game director).

Total War: Warhammer 3 release date

The exact release date for Total War: Warhammer 3 still hasn’t been confirmed but the game is expected in late 2021.

Various rumors have been circulating:

Epic Games Store (Spain and France) suggested a release in September, 2021.
2Game listed the release for November 3rd, 2021 on the pre-order page of the game.
French retailer FNAC listed the release date as “accessible” from December 31st, 2021.

But none of this has been confirmed. However, a release for September seems highly unlikely because Creative Assembly stated that they will be coming with more news about the game ”at some time in September”, introducing ”the mysterious and majestic empire of Grand Cathay.”
