How to turn your device into a hotspot?
- Go to your phone Settings menu.
- Find the Personal hotspot menu on the Settings menu or under the Connecti and sharing or Network menu.

How to share your mobile connection via wi-fi?
Usually, when you turn your device into a hotspot, it will allow other devices to connect to it via wi-fi by default.
On your phone:
- Go to Settings > Portable Hotspot.
- Next, find the Setup menu to access the SSID and the password.
On the device you want to connect to your mobile:
- Go to the menu that lists all the available wi-fi hotspots.
- Select the devices named as the SSID displayed on your mobile.
- Enter the same password as the one specified on your phone (you can change it whenever you want).
You are now sharing your phone's connection via wi-fi.
How to share your mobile connection via USB?
The USB option is most often used by desktop computers, as they generally do not possess a wi-fi or Bluetooth chip. If you select this option, your smartphone will propose different connection options.
To share your phone's connection via USB, you need to connect your phone to the other device before executing the following instruction.
On your phone:
- Go to Settings > Portable Hotspot.
- Turn on USB tethering.
You now share your phone's connection via USB.
How to share your mobile connection via Bluetooth?
Sharing your mobile wi-fi via Bluetooth is similar to wi-fi sharing but uses the Bluetooth protocol instead. It can be handy to choose this option if your other device has no wi-fi chip and you cannot connect your phone via USB to the other device.
To share your phone's connection via Bluetooth:
- Enable Bluetooth both on your phone and on your other device.
- On your phone, go to Settings > Portable Hotspot and turn on USB tethering.
- Connect your phone and the other device via Bluetooth.
You now share your phone's connection via Bluetooth.
