Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) is an indie survival horror video game that will make you live a terrific experience. During the day, the animatronics are under control and entertain hundreds of children. On the other hand, they turn into evil beings during the night. As a night watcher, you will have to watch them, outsmart them, and survive.

Plot

You now work at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurant as a night watcher. During the day, it is a joyful place where kids and parents come for entertainment, watching Freddy Fazbear and his animatronics friends' spectacle. You will quickly realize that your job is far from being easy during the night as the animatronics and Freddy Fazbear will look for you and try to kill you. Your job will be to watch them and survive with a limited amount of power supply, security cameras, and lights. Pay attention, night watcher, the inanimate ones will come for you.

Gameplay

• Fear the animatronics: All the evil animatronics have a single objective, to kill you. So outsmart them and prevent those diabolical creatures from attacking you during the night. And above all, no matter what, don't let your office open.
• Manage the electricity: Two electrically powered doors lead to your office. However, the room has a limited amount of energy, so you will have to carefully manage the power supply to make sure the room stays closed.
• Survive: You will have to survive five nights to complete the main objective of the game. The difficulty will increase throughout your frightening journey, the animatronics will become more clever, and your night watch will progressively turn into an endless nightmare.
• Lights are crucial: Lights will be a precious ally you will have to cleverly use to keep your enemies away and warn you when they are nearby. You can activate lights for a limited amount of time and monitor areas that are not visible by your cameras.
• Get some help: Even though you are alone, you will receive phone calls from former employees to help you know what to do and narrate the story of this place.

Graphics and sound

Created with Clickteam Fusion 2.5 and Autodesk 3ds Max, the game offers a truly creepy visual experience with lots of different environments and characters. Moreover, the soundtrack and audio feedbacks are juicy and well-paced, and make the final experience immersive.

Duration and game modes

Five Nights at Freddy's offers a solo adventure and a gradually increasing difficulty curve. If you focus on the main objectives, you can finish the game in about 3 hours, striving for a 100% completion rate will take you about 5 hours.

The game has been rated PEGI 12. It does not contain scenes of extreme violence, but the atmosphere of FNaF is creepy and may offend the sensibility of a young audience.
