It Takes Two 

– fabulous action game about family values

It Takes Two was created by Hazelight Studios, known for A Way Out. Their new work was released in March 2021 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It is a touching story about the relationship of a married couple, Cody and May. After a rift, they find themselves in a fairy tale world and must overcome many trials and adventures to realize how important it is to be together. 

It Takes Two also won for Best Family Game and Best Multiplayer. Deathloop, Metroid Dread, Psychonauts 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Resident Evil Village were also nominated for the top award.

Returnal

– The best action game of 2021

Third-person shooter with roguelike elements Returnal, developed by Finnish Housemarque for Sony and released in April exclusively for PlayStation 5, was named the best action game of the year. The main feature of Returnal is not only a fascinating shooter, but also a kind of psychological puzzle. The game's protagonist, astronaut Selena Vassos, must solve the mystery of her past on the planet Atropos, full of dangers and surprises. A trendy motif of constant return and multiple experiences is at the heart of the game. Returnal takes full advantage of Sony's new console, creating a true sense of presence in the world of the mysterious planet.

Metroid Dread

– The best adventure action game of 2021

The Metroid Dread, the sequel to the Metroid series of games, won in the Best Adventure Action category. Metroid Dread was created by MercurySteam and Nintendo EPD and was released for the Nintendo Switch console in October 2021. Players of this action-adventure game control the protagonist, Samus Aran, searching for the source of mysterious radio callsigns on the distant planet ZDR.

Guilty Gear Strive 

– The best fighting game of 2021

Guilty Gear Strive is the seventh in this fighting game series, developed and released in Summer 2021 by Arc System Works for PC, PS4, PS5. It continues the story of fighter Saul Badgay as he engages in one last and decisive battle with his opponents.

Forza Horizon 5

– The best sports (racing) game of 2021

Forza Horizon 5 is the fifth installment of the best-selling series of open-world racing games. This time Playground Games studio takes us on a journey through Mexico and offers us the biggest world in the history of the series.

Genshin Impact

– The best mobile game of 2021

Genshin Impact took the first place among the mobile games and gained immense popularity all over the world. Genshin Impact is an open-world RPG adventure game that is completely free to play, but has an in-game purchase. The story of the game takes place in the fictional world of Teyvat. The hero travels around it in search of his lost brother and experiences a lot of adventures. You can download Genshin Impact for your cell phone as well as for the Windows PC.
