Launch IE in InPrivate Browsing Mode Command Line

Opening a web browser in private mode is an excellent way to prevent prying eyes or outside sources from seeing what you're looking at or accessing your email account due to cookies lying around. In this short article, we will show you how to launch Internet Explorer in InPrivate Browsing mode.


Launch IE in InPrivate Browsing Mode

There are two methods you can use to launch the private browsing mode on Internet Explorer:

Method One:

  • Click on Start > Run
  • Type the following command and press the OK button
    • iexplore.exe -private

Method Two:

  • Click on the Gear icon and select Safety \ InPrivate Browsing or type Ctrl+Shift+P.
