How To Change Facebook Language

To meet the needs of its growing international user base, Facebook is now available in over 100 languages. This tutorial will teach you three simple ways to change your language settings on the social network.

Change Language Settings on the Facebook Login Page

Open Facebook in your web browser. If you're not yet logged in, you can set your home screen language preferences by clicking on one of the available language options at the bottom of the page:

Change the Language from Your Profile Page

If you're already logged into Facebook, go to your personal profile and locate the small box at the bottom of the left hand corner:

Here you will find several preset languages. To change your language, select any language that appears in the box and in the confirmation window that opens, click Change Language:

To select a language that does appear preset, click on the + symbol that appears next to your current language for additional options available on Facebook. Then select the desired language from the list and the language will be changed automatically:

Alternatively, you can also update your language by clicking on the small Arrow in the upper right corner of the screen and the selecting Settings:

On the page that opens, click Language tab on the left column, and select Edit:

A drop down will appear with the available options. To modify, select your desired languages and click Save Changes:

I just followed your instructions after clicking on the link you provided. I went to the short list of languages and clicked on English. That brought up the complete list, so I clicked on English again and the Chinese was gone. Thank you for the simple solution in words I could understand.
