How to download Facebook videos

When you stumble upon a really interesting video on Facebook, you might consider saving it to your computer for offline viewing. This article will explain how to download videos from Facebook, without the need for any third-party software.

How to download videos with Google Chrome?

Using Google Chrome is one of the easiest ways to download a Facebook video. To do so, log in to your Facebook account. Next, find the video of your choice on your newsfeed. Click on the little screen with an arrow that says Watch.

Next, open a new tab. Paste the URL but do not press Enter for now. Instead, replace the www in the URL with mbasic so it looks like this:

You can now press Enter. A new tab will open. Click on the video you want to download. Once this is done, right-click on the video. Select Save video as...

How to download videos with free websites?

Websites such as Fdown, Getfvid, and Savefrom will allow you to download Facebook videos for free.

First of all, you need to retrieve the URL of the desired video. To do so, you can follow the steps from the previous section. Copy the video URL and paste it into one of the websites mentioned above. Choose the quality and format preferences and download the video.

Note: Make sure that the video you want to save is Public, otherwise, you won’t be able to download it. Check the icon next to it: if it’s a globe, it means that it’s public if it’s a two-person silhouette, it is private.
