"Hello, X X,

It looks like someone used your Facebook account to log into 'Facebook Platform Opt In' (Wednesday, 27 April 2011 at 01:16).

Was this you? If so, you can disregard the rest of this email.

If this wasn't you, please follow the link below to protect your Facebook account information:

To learn how login notifications like this one can help you to protect your account information, visit the Help Centre: http://www.facebook.com/help/?topic=loginnotifications.
Please note: Facebook will never request your login information through email.

Thanks,
The Facebook Team"

The link is not working and not recorded on my login notifications. I dont find any way to contact Facebook to inform about this. I changed my password. I don't know what to do. If I checked in that day in that hour, it was from my android and it doesn't give such notifications since I was using it all day long that day.

Someone has changed the email address on my facebook account.
A friend tried to send me a private message, and the address she saw wasn't mine (it looks similar, but it is not mine.)
She reported my problem to facebook from the form that says a friend has been hacked, but after more than 2 weeks she didn't get any answer.
I reported my problem from a similar form (of course I can't sign in,) but after more than 2 weeks, still no answer.
Any idea about how to reactivate the account?

Thank,
Stefano

Stenci,
I am in the same boat as you. The email has been changed but it is similar to one of my emails... Facebook is no help. I have contacted them many many times over and only sometimes they reply with one pointless e-mail then I never hear from them again.

It happened about a month ago, and now the person has updated my status to "wonders who stole her facebook?", which tells me that this person is someone who knows me.

I wish I could talk to the Facebook representatives on the phone because the e-mailing is getting no where and I really need my account back. I just need SOMEONE to pay attention to my issue. I find it very hard to believe that the Facebook Secruity policies do not consider the fact that the login e-mail and security questions can be changed. I am willing to do anything to prove my identity to this account, but no one will listen. Facebook is letting all these hackers run others' accounts because they are too afraid of giving someone their account back and it not being them, making it "their mistake" or something. What ever happened to the idea of justice?

If anyone can give me some sort of advice, it would be much appreciated.

Kayla.

They replied after 2 months from my first message.
I sent them a message about every week, one from a firend's account reporting a problem with a friend account, and one saying that my account was hacked.
After 15-20 messages and 2 months, they did reset the email address to my original email address and sent me an email allowing me to login and set a new password.
Try again and again, and the pathetic support will work.

Hello facebook.

Many of us are experiencing hacked profiles and not necessarily related to the virus you mention. As you have seen, and as it happened to me personally, the hackers were able to hack our email addresses, from there change our passwords, access our facebook accounts and change the email relating to the account. This makes it impossible for us to regain access to our accounts even if we did everything possible. without the email associated to the facebook account, we are powerless. Facebook, please provide your users something more helpful then this. I have sent numerous requests reporting my hacked profile and have not gotten one - not ONE - response from facebook with any updates nor solutions. Itís pretty disappointing that such a popular site like facebook is not even able to protect its users or find solutions to hacked profiles.
