How to change page units in Adobe Reader: from inches to mm

Adobe Acrobat Reader is a multifunctional software that allows you to work with PDF documents. The program is customizable, and you can configure different settings as you wish to make your work process more pleasant and simple. One of the settings is that you can change page measurement units to different ones: for example, centimeters to inches or vice versa. Read on to discover how to do it.

How to change page measurement units in Adobe Acrobat Reader?

  • To change the default measurement units under Adobe Acrobat Reader, open the program and click on Edit > Preferences.

  • Scroll down to Units & Guides, and from the drop-down menu, select the Page and Ruler units (centimeters, inches, millimeters, points, picas) of your choice and click on the OK button.

How to change page format in Adobe Acrobat Reader?

If you want to change the page format/size in Acrobat Reader for different reasons, follow these steps:

  • Go to Tools > Organize Pages.
  • Right-click the first page.
  • Select Crop Pages.
  • In the Change Page Size section, insert your preferable page sizes. 

How to change the page scale to fit the paper in Acrobat Reader?

  • Go to File > Print.
  • In the Page Scaling section, select the option that you need: Fit To Printable Area, Shrink To Printable Area, Tile Large Pages, Tile All Pages, Multiple Pages per sheet, Booklet Printing.
  • Click OK and Print.

You can also set the print options as default. To do so, go to File > Properties > Advanced. Go to Print Dialog Presets and select the option you'd like to set as default, such as Shrink to Printable Area. Finally, save the changes.
