How to turn off autoplay on Facebook

How to disable the automatic video playback on Facebook?

On your computer, open your web browser and sign in to your Facebook account. Click on the arrow on the right-hand corner and select Settings & Privacy.

From there, select Settings.

Now, scroll all the way down to Video.

Finally, go to Auto-play Videos. Click Default and set the options to your preferences.

Note: Enabling video auto-play on your mobile device (Facebook for Android / for iPhone) may prove to be detrimental to your mobile data package (excessive data usage).
