How to reduce WhatsApp video call data usage?

One of the simplest ways to reduce WhatsApp data consumption is to prioritise WhatsApp voice calls over video calls. Try and only make video calls when you are connected to a WiFi network. By primarily using a WiFi network wherever possible you can reduce the amount of mobile data that is used. You may need to go into the settings on your mobile and request that your phone choose WiFi over mobile data, as long as there is a possible WiFi network. You can also prevent WhatsApp from accessing your mobile data and prevent it from updating in the background.
