Downloading a video hosted on a web page is much easier than it seems. You can use the web application Keepvid which allows you to download videos from any site or add an extension to your web browser to download it quickly.
Note: These solutions do not work on subscription websites like Netflix or Hulu.
To use KeepVid, go to the page with the video you want to download and play it. Then copy the URL of the video. Go to KeepVid, paste the URL into the corresponding box, and click Download. Select the download format and wait while the video is downloading:
How To Download Videos From any Site Using Google Chrome
When using Chrome, you have the option to download an extension. To use it, open Google Chrome and download GetThemAll. Then click the Add to Chrome > Add Extension button. Go to the page of the video you want to download and play it. Pause it and click on the extension icon (in the form of a blue arrow) next to the address bar. Click Video/Flash, select the video link, choose the format, and click Download:
Finally, select the folder where you want to save the video and click Save.
How To Download Videos From any Site Using Firefox
There is also an extension available with Firefox. To use it, open Firefox and install the plugin DownloadHelper. The Video DownloadHelper button will appear in the browser toolbar. Go to the page of the video you want to download and play it. Click on the Video DownloadHelper icon and select the format and quality:
Finally, choose the folder where you want to save the video, name it and click Save.
