WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform smartphone messenger that is available for iPhone, Android, Symbian, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone systems. Previously, it was available for Tizen OS, however as of October 2020, it is no longer available (see below for more info). The app allows easy instant messaging from anywhere in the world with an internet connection, between different phone systems. This article is dedicated to the Android version and it discusses some of the app’s key features, as well as some additional information. This is the WhatsApp download for Android.

Key Features

Here are some of WhatsApp’s main features:

  • Messaging: WhatsApp offers one of the easiest and simplest ways to stay in touch with your friends and family: if you have an internet connection, then you can send text messages in no time, thanks to the extremely user-friendly interface.
  • Groups: Whether you have a work project to make with your colleagues or organize a surprise party for a dear friend, WhatsApp is there for you: you can make group conversations with up to 256 people at once, and also share photos, messages, videos, and links.
  • Voice Messages & Video Calls: Once connected to the internet, WhatsApp allows you to break all the frontiers. You can send voice messages but if this is not enough for you, you can also enjoy face-to-face conversations.
  • Business Bot: If you are a company owner, you might want to enhance daily communication with your clients. If this is your case, then you should know that the app also you to create a chat bot for your company.

How Does WhatsApp Work?

the app operates like an SMS exchange and uses phone numbers integrated from the user's address book, there are no pins or usernames required. The application also allows users to block contacts, share their locations, keep track of e-mail histories, personalize notification sounds, and many other features.

Is WhatsApp Safe?

WhatsApp’s security has been a subject of controversy, namely due to the lack of encryption of backuped messages. We recommend reading the official Privacy policy in order to take note of the way WhatsApp uses your data.

Is WhatsApp Free?

You can download and use WhatsApp for free. WhatsApp messages and calls use your internet connection (which you may have to pay for).

Temporarily Banned WhatsApp Accounts

According to the WhatsApp Help Center, if you receive an in-app message stating that your WhatsApp account has been temporarily banned, this is most likely because you are using an unsupported version of WhatsApp. Unsupported apps, such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or others, are altered versions of WhatsApp. These violate WhatsApp's Terms of Service. If you do not switch to the official app (this download) after being temporarily banned, your account might be permanently banned.

How to Download WhatsApp For Tizen

Samsung mobiles use the Tizen OS, and the Tizen Store instead of the Google Play Store. As of October 2020, WhatsApp is no longer available on the Tizen Store because it is not supported on Tizen OS. Evidently, you can also no longer update WhatsApp in the Tizen Store. You must switch to another compatible device to use WhatsApp. Or alternatively, there is IMO, which is similar to WhatsApp.

System Requirements

The required Android version to run this app varies with devices. There are also versions for iPhone, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone.
