If you're a company or a blogger who is heavily active on a variety of platforms, you might consider linking your pages by adding a Follow on Facebook button to your site.
Facebook offers a variety of customization options for users who'd like to take advantage of this option. You can choose to simply place a Facebook icon on your page or even go as far as adding call-to-actions and displaying the profile pictures of some of your followers.
Whatever you need, here's how to add a Facebook follow option to your site or blog.
Connect to your Facebook account and open your Settings:
Next, go to the Followers section, and copy and paste the HTML code from the Follow Plugin field to the source code of your site:
If you'd like to customize your Follow option, you can do so by visiting Facebook's Plugin page. Creating your custom option is pretty intuitive, and all that you need to do is to fill in customization fields.
The first step is to simply copy the URL of your Facebook page and paste it into the Profile URL field. Next, change the button's default height and width (in pixels) to fit your site.
Select between a light or a dark color theme, and then select your preferred layout style. Choose the Standard option if you just want to show a no-frills Facebook icon. Alternatively, if you'd like to display your follower count, you can select either the box_count or button_count options.
If you'd like to display a selection of your followers via their Facebook profile pictures, you can choose to either display or hide your followers as well:
Once you've finished inputting your settings, click Get Code. Copy and paste the code into the source code of your site to display your new feature.
