How to disconnect WhatsApp from Google Drive

This guide will teach you how to opt-out of the Google Drive Backup service in WhatsApp Messenger.

We have already explained how to use Google Drive to back up your WhatsApp messages. But if you no longer wish to take advantage of the feature, here are the steps to disconnect WhatsApp from Google Drive.

  • Open your web browser and connect to Google Drive. Click on Settings
  • Go to Manage Apps and search for WhatsApp Messenger. Click on Options > Disconnect from Drive.
