Before Hotmail became Outlook.com, Microsoft's new email service, when you logged into your account, the Windows Live home page appeared. From the home page, you could just log in to your inbox. With the emergence of Outlook.com, access to the inbox was simplified and you no longer need to perform a trick to access it directly.
Check Your Email on Hotmail
Go to
Hotmail and log in with your credentials (email and password) from your Hotmail account. Your inbox will appear immediately.
As you can see, access to your inbox is now direct. Before, you had to log in to
Hotmail, access your inbox, and click
Options (in the upper righthand corner). You would, then, select
More Options and, under
Customize Hotmail, click
Windows Live Home Settings. Finally, you'd check the box next to
Show Inbox when you sign in and click
Save.
