Making Pipe under Mac

Mac OS is one of the most popular OS in use today and has many features which makes it so highly valued. The Mac keyboard is also different. The Mac keyboard does not provide a direct key for making a pipe symbol . This may cause problems for the users who require to use the pipe character on a Mac frequently while working. A shortcut for print the pipe character or symbol is available on the Mac computer. Making a pipe on a Mac is possible by pressing a combination of keys together. Thus, a direct key is not needed for printing the pipe symbol on a Mac.

It is not immediately obvious on some Mac keyboards how to type the pipe character: |. The following key combination should achieve this:

Alt + Shift + L
